Luke 6:27-36

The life of a Christian is not an easy road to follow, God never said it would be, I was on the computer just looking around, and I figured I'd go to some of the fundamentalist forums to get a little encouragement, cause the world we are in are is so full of sin and coruption everywhere we turn. Well I got on them and believe it or not all I found on there were a bunch of athiests, agnostics and so called believers with no backbone. They were cowtowing to the rest. Fundies as they called us were being put down for our beliefs. This is not a shock to me but quite a disapointment, my heart is broke for this world, but the more I see the harder it is to feel anything but pitty and scorn for these people. Yeah I said it scorn. God wants us to be softhearted and to Love the unsaved I am in no way saying that I don't love the lost or my saved brothers and sisters what I am saying is that without God I would probably give into the flesh and hate everyone for the way they treat his people. With God we are able to put what these people do and say to us behind us and also to forgive them for what they do to us(Luke 6:27-36). We must love each and everyone of them with the same love that God gave us and them, this is extremely difficult at times because they treat us as idiots because we are believers. The devil has such a hold on some of the people that I am around that they don't consider God real they think he is a crutch that we use to live our lives. Well the funny thing about that is they all have gods they use as crutches some are dependant on alcohol, drugs, porn, sex and an mutitude of other things, although I have God in my life I do not consider him a crutch I consider Him my father and my friend. He is my guide in all times. The fact is that we as christians may at times lean on God and ask him to help us through things, but we don't use him as a crutch. The devil has planted seeds in a lot of peoples minds and it is our job to dig that seed out and destroy it. This is very difficult at times and it is easy to get frustrated but we must keep ourselves on track and do our best to lead them to the Lord.

Luk 6:27 But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you,
Luk 6:28 Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you.
Luk 6:29 And unto him that smiteth thee on the one cheek offer also the other; and him that taketh away thy cloak forbid not to take thy coat also.
Luk 6:30 Give to every man that asketh of thee; and of him that taketh away thy goods ask them not again.
Luk 6:31 And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise.
Luk 6:32 For if ye love them which love you, what thank have ye? for sinners also love those that love them.
Luk 6:33 And if ye do good to them which do good to you, what thank have ye? for sinners also do even the same.
Luk 6:34 And if ye lend to them of whom ye hope to receive, what thank have ye? for sinners also lend to sinners, to receive as much again.
Luk 6:35 But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil.
Luk 6:36 Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful.

FORGIVENESS

My God went to a cross and bore all my sins for me to give me salvation and
to cleanse my soul. He forgave the men even before they smote Him, He washed
away their sins there on the cross. Jesus gives us the ultimate example of
forgiveness in that as he hung there on the cross he said "Father forgive
them for they know not what they do", I have made mistakes in my life, I have
sinned, my sins are different from yours and as yours are different from
mine, But no matter what the sin no matter how hanus the sin God will and
does forgive, It is not meant for us to understand, because God's ways are
not our own. Some people in life make mistakes and are put in situations that
lend itself to evil. Does that excuse what we do; no, it doesn't. God does
not excuse our sin; God hates sin, that is why He could not look upon His Son
on the cross as he became our sin for us. He does however forgive us of our
sins and He, in His ultimate wisdom, forgets. Mistakes are made as young men
and women that we regret more than can ever be told. God forgives, shouldn't
we? Yes, we should, we should forgive mistakes made in the past. If not we
could not tolerate being around anyone in our lives, because we have all
hurt and offended each other in some way. Some men believe that you can't
make just one bad mistake, but that you continue through you life making the
same mistakes over and over. I, however, do not believe this as being the
truth men have the ability, with the help of God Almighty, to refrain from
repeating their sins again and again. God teaches that all things are
possible through Christ our Lord, and that if a man or woman gives their life
over to God He can and will have power over their life, I Have given my life
to God, I am willing to try and live my life as close to the way Jesus lived
as I can. Will I fail at times; yes, I will. Will God allow me to fall, no,
not if we keep our eyes on Him and depend on Him for Guidance and let Him be
the light of our lives. The point of all this is that God is capable of all.
He can change anyone and use anyone no matter what sin they may have
committed. As men, sometimes that is hard to understand we want to follow the
flesh and fill our hearts with hate, but in doing this we only hurt ourselves
and the people around us. God Bless you all and May He give you a Forgiving
Heart.
